Cecil E. Campbell Jr. passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 24, 2022. Cecil was born on November 28, 1955, the son of the late Cecil Campbell Sr. and Elva Dionne Brooks Campbell. Surviving is his wife, Cynthia Chandler Campbell of Stuarts Draft who he married August 22, 1992. He is also survived by his three children, Dana Propst of Stuarts Draft, Matthew Campbell and his wife, Brooke, of Grottoes, and Cassie Wyant and her husband, Joey, of Verona, and two loving grandchildren, Chase and Chelsey Propst of Stuarts Draft. He also leaves behind his brothers, Kenny, Michael and Ricky Campbell; sisters, Angie Clark, Debbie Cline and Tammy Strickler; his special brother-in-law, Tommy Chandler and sister-in-law, Candace Henkel. Cecil retired from Daikin in January of 2021 after 35 years of service. He had many special friends there who he also considered as family. Cecil enjoyed gardening, fishing and vacationing at the beach. His children and grandchildren were the joy of his life, and he enjoyed joking with them and our many special family outings and vacations. Being able to have a big family vacation last year with all the children and grandchildren was the happiest time in his life. He also loved his dogs Huey and Katie who have been his constant companions since he retired. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Funeral Homes, 1870 Stuarts Draft Highway. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at White Hill Church of the Brethren, 749 Old White Hill Road, Stuarts Draft with Pastor Dave Chappell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will Allen Chandler, Cody Rowe, Christian Keith, Sharon Eye, Tony Spears, John Clevenger, Mike Kostura and Kevin Cowles. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stuarts Draft Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 260, Stuarts Draft, VA 24477.
