network you have at home, it may be that the mobile settings are not helping much to improve the connection. So beyond the changes you can make to the router, you can try some tricks to improve WiFi on your Xiaomi mobile. And don't worry, it's just a matter of adjusting some settings on mobile, which you can revert at any time.If the WiFi connection was working fine on your Xiaomi mobile, and suddenly it has started to have problems, you can try this basic trick: reset network settings. There may be a conflict or error in the current configuration that prevents the connection from working properly. So starting the WiFi network setup from scratch may be the solution to the connection problem.A detail to keep in mind is that if you reset the network settings, you will be deleting not only all the data of the WiFi connections that you have saved on the mobile, but also all the devices paired with Bluetooth. So review that information before deleting it permanently. To make this change, go to “Settings” on your mobile and look for the “Connection and sharing” section.Within the section you will find “Reset WiFi, mobile networks and Bluetooth” and at the bottom you will see the option to “Reset settings” and start the process.Once it finishes, you will have to configure the WiFi connection on your Xiaomi mobile again.Another trick that you can try to improve the WiFi connection of your Xiaomi mobile is to deactivate a configuration option that is usually enabled by default: Search for Bluetooth devices. This option allows the mobile to be in a constant search for nearby devices without having to have Bluetooth turned on, in order to “improve location-based services and functions”, as the description of the function reads. However, this dynamic could cause issues with your device's wireless connection, so you can try turning it off to find out if that's the problem. To do this, go to Settings >> Location >> WiFi and Bluetooth search >> Bluetooth device search. If the WiFi connection is slow beyond any configuration of your mobile, you can apply a small trick that will allow you to give more bandwidth to the apps that prioritize them. Not only the apps that you have open are consuming the internet, but also those that work in the background. So network resources are shared between the ones you're using and the ones in the background.A dynamic that can be a problem if you have a poor WiFi connection. An easy way to fix this is by using Xiaomi's "Extreme Mode" or "Quick Connection", which sets the Wi-Fi network to prioritize only the apps or games you're currently using. For example, if you're on an important video call and Wi-Fi isn't helping, you can turn this feature on so that only your messaging app has priority. To activate it just go to Settings >> WiFi >> WiFi Assistant >> Traffic Mode >> Extreme Mode.Once you activate this function you will have all the network resources only for the app you are using at the moment, and it will not be shared with the apps that work in the background. It is not an option to always have activated, but it can be useful on more than one occasion. This is a half trick, since what Xiaomi proposes with this option is to have a plan B when the WiFi connection does not work properly. And it is about nothing less than using mobile data to have a plus of speed while you are still connected to WiFi.To do this, go to Settings >> Wi-Fi >> Wi-Fi Assist >> Traffic Mode >> Smart Grid Acceleration. When you enter this section you have to activate the option “Use mobile data to increase speed”.Of course, keep in mind that this will imply an extra cost, since you will be using your mobile data plan. But you can use it only as an emergency and specifying with which applications you want to apply this configuration to have an extra connection speed. In the same section where you turned on the option, look for "Custom Apps."When you click on this option, it will show you a list of all installed apps so that you can choose those that will have permission to use this configuration. One last detail to keep in mind is that this “Intelligent Network Acceleration” option is not available on all Xiaomi phones. If you have tried all the configuration options that we have mentioned and you are still having problems with WiFi, you can use external tools to analyze the connection. There are several third-party apps to consider, for example Signal Strength. This application gives you some data that shows you the strength and speed of the WiFi network. It also has a connectivity checker, WiFi scanning and the possibility of performing a speed test. With this type of app you will be able to know if the WiFi problem comes from the service, the router or if you have a problem with your mobile that requires you to take it to the technical service. From Monday to Friday we send a newsletter with the headlines of the day to +4,000 subscribersI will never give away, trade or sell your email address. You can
